Prepping for the US downgrade.
The markets continue to rip here, but we are looking for an excuse for a pullback. The downgrade over the weekend might be it. Stay tuned for a video on Monday in which I discuss all the other times the US was downgraded and what that did to the markets.
What I love about systematic trading is that we will be here doing the same thing regardless. Note in the backtest below, the US was downgraded in 2011 and 2023, and overall, the systems did fine. Only time will tell, but we always have a plan and lean on that plan.
