One of our systems updates the end of every month with a new batch of investments to look at. This is what’s called a “rotational” strategy in which we are not trading with stops and targets but trying to always be in the strongest names.
We are exploiting the fact that strong stocks tend to remain strong and weak names remain weak. By picking a time to rebalance this investment part of our portfolio we can make sure we are sticking with the names that are working for us and remove the ones that are not.
Last month was great for this system since after a down month it was easy for the system to spot the strength. Below is the portfolio last month. Some have remained and some have been kicked out and replaced with new names.
